The Housekeeper Past Life

The Housekeeper shows that we have achieved a natural state of inner balance and harmony which allows us to use our energies without diversion or interference. More often than not, these energies are directed into practical channels – in the workplace, dealing with things in the home environment.

The Housekeeper is about the more mundane aspects of everyday life, and about home and family – some people see this as purely money-related, but that is a misunderstanding. We are better served by seeing this as relating to the basic nuts and bolts of security. This includes money and finances, of course, but also covers all sorts of other areas too – the basic trust and reliability of our friends and family, the nature of our home, the set of tasks which form our role in life.

Housekeepers needed to be taking stock of our overall position in a practical sense. They would check what food is stockpiled for bad times, look out for those under their care and generally manage the household. Mothers will relate to this literally but symbolically it refers to understanding what we need to in life to keep all our balls in the air.

The housekeeper could be called a big fish in a small pond. Larger households would have a chamberlain and a steward, posts not often held by women. Thus the housekeeper was respected in her own little world but feelings of deserving better often arose.

From this past life, feelings of not knowing whether you could better yourself may be something you are vaguely aware of. Examine the facts clearly – do you have what it take? – is something holding you back? – what skills might you lack?
